Discovering Neopia




my journey with neo started in 2000, when my older cousin showed me the website for the first time. i can't remember the pets she had, but she showed me around the whole site! then.. she told me i was a BABY and that i wasn't allowed to play! she was a literal IRL angelica. obviously i ignored her and went home and made my account..


my first account name was charme93.. or charme94? or some variation of that and charmedgrrl maybe? it hurts my heart that i can't remember it! it was named after the show charmed, because my mom and i were obsessed with that show and the books :') that account went through a LOT. it had gotten hacked at one point, and when i got it back the password was changed to some russian name? and it had ALL the faerie snowglobes and 2 million neopoints in my bank. no idea what happened there, but i will never forget that LOL. i blew it all immediately!

after my mom faxed in my permission slip for the neoboards, i had asked my dad to help me put an image in my signature. yes. i thought i could do that. my parents let me scan this

picture from the ocarina of time booklet, and i desperately needed it in my siggy! my dad kept trying and trying and he got soooo mad he emailed tnt and cussed them out... because i swore up and down we could do pictures?!?!!1

somehow, that didn't get me frozen. what DID get me frozen was during halloween 2002, my shop was named RED DEVIL. it was nightmare before christmas themed, and even had 'this is halloween' playing, because back then you could put music on pages!

enter my neo-famous era: zelda596221. this account was made right after i got frozen. i was part of a well-known guild called F.L.O.S.S (for the love of screenshots!), from what i remember we just took really stupid screenies of everything, with that classic 2003-04 humour! our guild leader was laura AKA lickthelightbulb and the only other person i remember was Alumni! all my screenies had my "copyright" on them: my username in CHERI font. i even would post my early photography on my petpages, but it was just really low quality shots from our old camcorder LOL. as for pets, the only one i remember was my precious baby eyrie, appropriately misspelled pricess_zelda with some numbers after it.

during this time period i was making ALL my friends who hadn't heard of neopets sign up! my friends, my brother, MY MOM.. my best friend and i shared an account that was named something like 2cool4u42 and our password was roxursox, lol. however i was a HUGE bully and eventually stole the account, and even bullied my other friend into giving me her password LMFAO!!! evil flows through my veins..



my brother and i got big into scammin', HAHAHAH. we would join guilds and snatch up avvie items, even intercepted pound tradings from people who would coordinate on the boards or guild chat. my brother got a silver jetsam, and his account still has it to this day. we were SUCH ASSHOLES!!

finally after scamming for so long, justice was served. i stole an evil blue fuzzle from the wrong neopian. my account was frozen in what felt like the blink of an eye, which led me to bawling my thievin' little eyes out as zelda596221 was no more..

Present Day

during a moment of absolute panic after experiencing being frozen in real time, i looked around the room and saw an espresso machine box? or something? threw a classic X at the end, and thus, ESPRESSOX WAS BORN!! after that, no more scamming. my life had changed for the better, i learned my lesson. the rest is history.. i reached out to my old guildies, and alumni from my old guild had given me TWO pets: lyingdisgrace, a faerie poogle, and ryzani, an alien aisha. i still have them to this day and cherish them just as much! this account was made july 22, 2004 and has been my main ever since.

i play every single day still, and am eagerly awaiting the void within to finally END. today is currently may 4th, 2026 and the plot has just started back up... it's almost over.. i just want the colour back.. anyways, feel free to add me! let's play! let's talk neopets!
