The Sims has a feature where it generates HTML files with information about all the households in-game. This is one of those pages! If you want one, go into your game's UserData folder and look in the folder marked "Web Pages"
^ Thanks strangetowngirl for that hint!

The Sims 1 released on February 4th 2000, over 25 freaking years ago! My family got the game as a SUPER early father's day gift for my dad, but he never really got to play it as I completely took it over! My first memory of playing The Sims is all my friends gathering round the computer as we wrote down all the objects we wanted to save up for, in a spiral notebook where my family kept all their card game scores in, lol.

it's safe to say I spent 99% of my life playing the sims, mostly 1, some of 2, a smidgen of 3, and a dash of 4. it's really the most special game to me. not only did I play it with my friends, random family members would play with me as well! my brother, my cousins, uncles, aunts, I even showed my grandparents my houses, my grandma LOVED them! speaking of grandma, I used to write on sticky notes and secretly beg her to convince my parents to buy me the hot date expansion! it was too ~adult~ for me at the time, considering i was only 8 when it released :X BUT!! after years of begging.. in 2003, in my easter basket nonetheless... there she lay.. next to a neopets pocket aisha handheld game!!! i finally felt complete!

another great memory that comes to mind is the summer of 2002. my best friend and i had a slumber party, and the movie of choice we rented from blockbuster? was none other than jimmy neutron boy genius. we stayed up ALL night playing vacation and blasting the music from it, watching homestar runner & jimmy neutron, and i remember right before we passed out she flipped her eyelids up and rolled her eyes back and said she was an alien. sweet dreams to me i guess!!

Did you know? The Sims had many codenames! Originally known as Project X, it also went by: Jefferson, T.D.S - the Tactical Domestic Simular, T.D.S - the Total Dollhouse Simulator, What The Hell Is It?, and.. the greatest one of all.. THE TOILET GAME
